Where is ColiBrio?
Our retreat center is located about a 4 hour drive from Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
We are nested into the riverside in Lake Atitlán’s smallest village called Tzununá, which is a word in the local Mayan language meaning “the hummingbird on the water”.
Lake Atitlán is known by international travelers as a place to discover the modern-day Mayan ways of living.
Tzununá has multiple permaculture projects, dance temples, and conscious communities that give people opportunities to build stronger relationships with the Earth, their bodies and other people, often creating profound transformation.
What is included in the rate for my residency?
- 2 meals per day
- 2 studio sessions per day, one of which is with a Sound Engineer
- a tiny house with private bath, indoor office space, and outdoor table
- access to gardens, hot and cold pools, sauna, and our pack of loving dogs and cats
- invitation to our weekly community jam called Pathway to the Moon

What is the Cancelation Policy?
If you have to cancel your Residency for whatever reason, we can offer a 75% refund if you give 30+ days notice.
Cancellation within 30 days of your residency is non-refundable.
Amending your booking is possible.

What should I bring with me?
- a notebook and pen - there are stores to buy notebooks and pens here, but we don’t have a large selection of variety and quality
- musical equipment that is vital to your creative process - you are welcome to use any of the gear & equipment listed above
- a hard drive to store recordings
- Comfortable clothes for all types of weather. The mornings and evenings can be around 18°C (64°F), while the afternoons can get up to 27°C (80°F).
- Swimsuit
- Hiking boots if you plan to explore the mountainous landscapes
- Rain jacket if you visit us during our rainy season - late April to early November.
- medications and supplements to keep you healthy - there are pharmacies and an herbal apothecary in Tzununá, but their options are limited
